I'm a Lecturer at the University of St Andrews School of Computer Science. My PhD research led to the introduction of an Ethnographically-informed Distributed Participatory Design (EDPD) framework. This framework provides a novel process for involving diverse, widely distributed online communities in building grassroots solutions. Presently, my focus is on exploring participatory design strategies that foster stronger connections between researchers and communities, enabling us to tackle persistent social issues like digital poverty.
